Plan Your Visit To Meramec Caverns

For the better part of a century, nestled deep inside America's heartland, Meramec Caverns has offered fascinating and educational cavern tours for young and old alike. Zip Line Adventure Starting in May
Soar through the tree tops and across the Meramec River on a hour long adventure of a lifetime. Open May-October.

Riverboat Rides
Enjoy a relaxing, history filled, half hour long excursion on the Meramec River aboard a canopy-topped riverboat. Cavern Queen I and Cavern Queen II can each hold 25 passengers. Boats run April through September, dependant upon weather and river conditions. Group rates are available.
Rates: $8.00 Adults, $5.00 Children 5-11.
Canoe Floats
Take a six or eleven mile float on the scenic Meramec River. A shuttle bus will take you up river and you can float back to your car, here at the caverns. Reservations are required, please call 1-573-468-6463. Canoes and rafts are only available when weather permits.
Rates: Canoes Sunday - Friday $35 per canoe Saturday $40 per canoe (and Holiday weekends) Rafts Sunday - Friday $22 per person (minimum charge of $66 for 6 man raft, $154 for 8 man raft) Saturday $26 per person (and Holiday weekend) (minimum charge of $104 for 6-man raft, $182 for 8-man raft)
Pan for Gold
While parents shop at the Mine Store for beautiful rock gifts or at Granny's Candy Store for homefudge, children can pan for fool's gold, fossils, and other gemstones in a 19th century setting. The Meramec Mining Company and Granny's is open during the summer months only.

Gift Shop
Purchase quality and affordable souviners for the entire family in our well stocked shopping area. From traditional tourist type gifts to the more exotic, the gift shop carries it all to enhance your visits memories. Among the most popular items are: rocks and minerals, T-shirts, jewelry, books, headgear, knives, clocks, pictures, slides, postcards, toys, games, etc.
Restaurant
Enjoy home style cooking, snack bar, and 28 flavors of ice cream. The restaurant can seat up to 250 people and also hosts an elegant private dining room. This is available for special group rentals such as family reunions, birthday parties, company gatherings, etc. The restaurant is also capable of catering to such groups with a wide variety of quality foods. The staff can also feed large groups inside or out (outdoor picnics, Bar-B-Que, catering, and box lunches available).
Lantern Tours
Explore the caverns through a new light. By the light of hand-held lanterns, visitors embark on a guide-led journey of the caverns meeting a variety of historical characters along the way. Characters such as an Osage Indian, a Civil War soldier, and the infamous Jesse James share tales of folklore, stories of courage and adventure, as well as details on the rich history of the caverns. Tour last 80 minutes. Reservations are needed.
